Aldersgate

2002 Missional Budget
Our
Ministry beyond Aldersgate. We are a connectional Church. We,
along with other United Methodist Churches, send our apportioned dollars
to help with the vital ministries that are being lived out in the world
each day. We help support higher education, children's homes, retirement
homes, Christian camps, youth events, single's events, training events and
missionaries home and abroad. We will be sending $38,269.00 to
strengthen the ministry of Christ in North
Carolina, the Unites States and the world in 2002.
Our Ministry at Aldersgate: We,
through our financial gifts, will help grow the Worship Services, Vacation
Bible School, Disciple Bible Study, short term studies, music ministries
(adult, youth and children), confirmation, teacher training events, youth
ministries, family ministries, evangelism, igniting ministries,
stewardship and other ministries at Aldersgate. We will be giving $40,565.00
to these ministries.
Mission Giving to the Durham Community:
Aldersgate will be providing funds for Durham
Congregations in Actions, CONDUIT, Durham County Mission Society, ACRA House, Genesis House, Durham District Hispanic Ministry and other
missions. We will be giving $4,915.00 to these local ministries.
Aldersgate’s
Staff: We, through our financial gifts, will provide salaries
and benefits for our staff for 2002. We will be giving $243,544.00
to compensate our staff for their work for Aldersgate and its mission and
ministry.
Church Administration: This will help
pay for the work of the Aldersgate office. It will pay for general office
expense, mailings, newsletters, paper supplies, copier agreements,
computer and network services, office software and office equipment. We
will be giving $17,950.00 to the operational ministries of the
Church Office.
Trustee Ministry: The Trustees are
charged to maintain all of the facilities and
properties of Aldersgate. This ministry includes providing phones,
heat, air conditioning, gas, water, janitorial services and supplies, lawn
care, church and parsonage maintenance, insurance, maintenance contracts
on equipment and inspections fees for fire extinguishers, heater box and
the elevator. We will be giving $131,425.00
to the Trustee Ministry for 2002.
Our
Total Mission and Ministry Budget for 2002 is: $476,668.00
