Aldersgate Choir
Please consider joining us! We work hard
but we also have a lot of fun. You don't have to be a "music
reader" to sing with us - we'll help you! Hope to hear you at
choir practice. What a great way to serve our church and, most
importantly, to serve God. |

Musical Notes |

Music
allows us to praise, honor, and reflect on God through beautiful
sounds. Though music has changed dramatically over the centuries, it is a common
thread among all peoples, and
it has been present in worship since the very beginnings as chant
and plainsong. There is
always a place for good authentic music whether it be chant,
baroque, classical, or
contemporary, and we are so fortunate in this generation to have so
many styles of good music to
appreciate, to learn from, and to identify with. We welcome all
musicians, dancers, ringers, directors, etc., who are sincere in their desire to be active in service
through the beauty of music. Join us
- you will find that the joy and blessings you receive from the music and
fellowship far outweigh the
commitment.

Chancel
Choir |
Singing
in the Chancel Choir is a wonderful opportunity to worship God
while helping lead others
in the worship of our Savior. We sing a variety of choral
music covering everything from
early Renaissance counterpoint, to
a cappelia spirituals, to
contemporary choral settings. Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from
7:30 - 9:00. The Chancel Choir sings at either or both the 8:25 and 10:55 services on
Sunday morning. The Choir is open to Sr. High youth who are interested in choral
music and all adults.

Praise
Team |
If
you enjoy K-Love radio station, or you have found yourself
hooked on Contemporary Christian
music, consider joining us. We are presently a team of seven
vocalists, a piano and
a keyboard. If you have experience with piano, synthesizer, guitar,
bass, drums, percussion, brass, woodwinds, violin ... etc., please consider joining us.
We
worship from 9:45 - 10:30 on Sunday
mornings. The praise team is open to youth and adults who have
sufficient experience
in their instrument.

Brass
Ensemble |
The Aldersgate Brass Ensemble is a joy to hear. Presently, they play
as a standard brass quintet
consisting of 2 trumpets, French Horn, Trombone, and Tuba, but
there is always room
for more. This ensemble is faithfully directed by Bob Estes.
The Brass Ensemble rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:15
p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

|
Children's Music |
If you would like to be an adult assistant or director please
contact Johnny. Kid's Own Worship allows for our children
to sing and move in praise of God in a
worship setting. These children worship during the 10:55 AM service
on Sunday morning, and we look
forward to getting them into the sanctuary to share some of
their worship songs with us! If your child or youth sings or plays an instrument and would like to
share their joy for God through music
on Sunday morning, please let Sandra know regardless of their level of
proficiency.

|
Sacred
Dancers |
Aldersgate is so fortunate to be blessed by
the grace and gracefulness of a liturgical dance team. These
young women are beautiful in spirit and in their dance. Sacred
dancers rehearse on Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Please
consider joining them as a dancer or a leader if you love dance.

|
Drama |
A
well-done performance can touch the heart and drive home a
point that will last in a person's
memory for a very long time. Directors,
script writers, choreographers, and actors are needed as we
begin to look at using
drama in our worship. If you have experience in any of these
areas, or if you have the desire
to participate and learn, please consider using your talents
to help develop a new powerful
component of worship.

|
Other
Opportunities |
What are your talents
and skills that you believe God is
leading you to share here at Aldersgate? You may be able to help
either on a regular basis or for a special event in one of the
technical or support areas listed such as sound, lighting,
set/props and costume.
