Aldersgate is happy to welcome Jeff Whicker, our new Church Organist. Jeff joins AUMC with a strong, 40-year tenure as a church music director and many years of experience as an accompanist, soloist, conductor, and arranger. Most recently, he spent four years as the Music Director at Emerywood Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina.

If Jeff is a familiar name to you, it’s because he has helped us as the pianist for our children’s summer program over the past five years and is active in multiple Durham and Triangle-area choirs.

Jeff brings a love for and strong knowledge of contemporary music to AUMC and has led multiple praise bands at different churches. Jeff’s plethora of experience, musical acumen, and appreciation for both classical and contemporary music gives him the skills to help continue the strong upward trajectory of our music program.
